 40 Days of Purpose

Have you ever wondered, “What on earth am I here for?” Do you think you may have missed God’s will for your life? Join us for the 40 Days of Purpose Lenten program to learn God’s 5 purposes for your life, then put the purposes into practice through the personal disciplines, group connections, and church-wide events that will take place during the six weeks in Lent.

When the Church of St. Uriel the Archangel in Sea Girt launches its “40 Days of Purpose Campaign” beginning February 28, it will join a worldwide network of thousands of churches.  Inspired by remarkable stories of spiritual renewal and growth, an estimated 13,000 churches from 60 denominations have experienced the purpose-driven phenomena inspired by a California pastor’s best-selling book.

At the center of the 40 Days of Purpose is the fastest-selling hard cover nonfiction book in history.  The Purpose Driven Life has sold more than 16 million copies since the book’s release in 2002.  The book’s author, Rick Warren, is senior pastor of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California.

Imagine the impact on our communities if we were all committed to living out God’s purposes for our lives!  Bring a friend along with you, and start living a purpose-driven life.

The 40 Days of Purpose Lenten program will be hosted on Tuesday nights at the Church.  Smaller homefellowship groups will be meeting at different times of the day and on different days of the week.  Presently, we have home fellowships for the 40 Days of Purpose in Sea Girt, Spring Lake, and Toms River.  Contact the parish office for a homefellowship near you.  You do not have to be a member of St. Uriel's to be part of our 40 Days of Purpose Lenten program.
