Family #1 and their three children are presently actively working in the Far East.

Family #2 is working in Southeast Asia with Wycliffe Bible translators. Their work is to train nationals and assist local churches in their ministries. They are currently learning the local language and building relationships. Since they are working in a heavily Muslim area, please pray for their health, safety and openness to the opportunities God provides.

and their two children are working in Eastern Europe. They are establishing a home for orphan children.

Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age."

The community of St. Uriel’s seeks to take seriously our Lord’s command to, “…Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” We presently have families serving in very different parts of the world. They are serving in parts of Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Far East.

Workers in the field today continue to bear witness to the love and salvific hope given to us through Jesus Christ. While the essential theme of their message has not changed, the manner in which these people go about their work has changed from that of years gone by.

Today's these servants work among the poor and needy in both this country and abroad helping these people to become self-sufficient. In doing so, they have a great opportunity to bear witness to Jesus Christ:

"...for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.' Then the righteous will answer him, `Lord, when did we see thee hungry and feed thee, or thirsty and give thee drink? And when did we see thee a stranger and welcome thee, or naked and clothe thee? And when did we see thee sick or in prison and visit thee?' And the King will answer them, `Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.'" (Mt. 25:35)

Workers in the field today need not be great biblical scholars or great preachers. All they need is a love and hunger for Jesus Christ and, a sense of calling to this very difficult yet rewarding vocation. Today's workers are made up of people from all different backgrounds and job skills, i.e. teachers, doctors, nurses, builders, farmers, accountants, housewives, husbands, and the list goes on.

Please keep all workers in the field throughout the world in prayer. Since some of families are in locations that can be dangerous, we cannot publish the names on the web, but we ask you to keep them in your prayers. Click on the thumbnail picture to see some of the their work.

Please pray for:

these three families

God will know who you are praying for.
