For many years the Womens' Ministry was known as the St. Uriel's Guild. For decades this ministry was very active. However, times have changed and the world has radically changed - and so have the needs of women in a very complex world. As a result, the St. Uriel's Guild has been in the process of redefining itself towards the ministry of women. St. Uriel's Womens' Ministry takes very seriously our baptismal calling. We gather for homefellowship once a month where we support each other in our Christian walk. At each homefellowship, there is a hostess and a speaker. The speaker is generally a member of the parish who does a simple teaching, or gives a witness to what the Lord have been doing in own life.
The Women, with support from the Brotherhood of St. Andrew, also runs our annual spring Rummage Sale. Our Soup and Salad Luncheons which have been very successful are held every second Tuesday of the month. These simple luncheons are open to everyone, whether a person is a member of the parish or not. Often, members of the public will join us. Together we have traveled to a number of conferences. One which has been very popular has been the "Women of Faith" conference which is held every September in Philadelphia.
All women of the parish are members of the Women's Ministries. Be sure to look at our womens' Bible Study page to see what we are doing in our spiritual walk with Christ. Womens' Bible Studies.
